Job Summary

We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist with expertise in food supplements to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with EU regulations and local requirements, ensuring that our products meet all safety, quality, and legal standards. 

This role involves managing product registration, labelling compliance, and regulatory documentation to support the marketing and distribution of our food supplements across the EU.

Responsibilities

  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of compliance activities, including regulatory submissions, test results, certifications, and product assessments.
  • Assess and report on technical data sheets and certificates of analysis for products intended for the market.
  • Assist in preparing compliance reports and submissions to regulatory bodies.
  • Testing and Certification
  • Coordinate product testing and manage certification processes with external agencies to ensure that all products meet necessary standards.
  • Vet certificates of analysis for food supplements and manage relationships with certification agencies to maintain compliance.
  • Audits and Risk Management
  • Participate in internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct ingredient-based risk assessments and provide detailed reports on potential risks associated with product formulations.
  • New Product Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with R&D, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure new products meet compliance, quality standards, and consumer needs.
  • Advise on product formulations for food supplements to ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.
  • Represent the company in technical meetings regarding products and compliance regulations.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Food Science, Nutrition, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, with a focus on food supplements within the EU.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of EU food law, particularly regulations surrounding food supplements 
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, particularly in managing product labels and documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex regulatory issues.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory guidelines to practical business situations.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving compliance issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with food supplements in a multinational environment.
  • Familiarity with EFSA guidance on novel foods and health claims.
  • Knowledge of local regulations in various EU member states.
  • Ability to manage relationships with regulatory bodies and third-party certification agencies.

Job Conditions

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)
